Robert A. DiStefano Sr., 72, passed away December 26, 2014. Beloved husband of Judy A. (Zoglio) DiStefano; son of the late Nicholas and Loretta (Cambio) DiStefano; father of Robert A. DiStefano, Jr.; grandfather of Isabella, Sophia and Alex; brother of Nicholas Jr. and Sylvester DiStefano, Gloria Orlandi, and the late Jane Zannini and Nellie Bianco.
Before retiring, Bob was Finance Director for the Town of North Providence. He was a former Town Councilman and member of the Housing Authority. In addition, Bob was active in many other local organizations. He enjoyed golfing, coaching soccer, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid Patriots and Yankees fan and a faithful member of the St. Thomas parish community.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 12:00 p.m. in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Thomas Church.
