Robert Anthony Germano

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Jessie (Giovitto) Germano.

Bob co-owned and operated a greyhound kennel for many years. He was also the owner of several thoroughbred racehorses. The highlight of Bob’s life was one of his horses, Peerless Elf, winning at Suffolk Downs Racetrack. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran.

He was the father of William “Bill” Germano and his companion Carlene Kotler and the late Roxanne Germond; grandfather of Yvonne Germond and her companion Joshua Trainor and Tara Kessler and her husband Christopher and great grandfather of Liam Trainor, Jack Trainor, Wyeth Kessler and Willa Kessler. He was also the brother of Constance Cataldo and her husband Joseph.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a committal service honoring Bob’s life on Monday, May 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM in St. Ann Cemetery, 73 Church Street, Cranston. Guests are asked to arrive 15 minutes before the service and gather across from the main entrance of the cemetery.
