

Robert G. Gill, 67, of Narragansett died Sunday at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. He was the beloved husband of Charleen (Lazarski) Gill. They were married for 41 years. Born in Bridgeport, CT, he was a son of late Raymond E. and Doris (Houlihan) Gill. Bob served our nation proudly during the Vietnam war as a member of the United States Navy. He was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island. His hobbies included sailing and he loved attending the Octoberfest in Munich, Germany. He worked as a designer for the McLaughlin Research Corporation for over 20 years before retiring. Besides his wife he leaves a son, Ryan T. Gill, and his wife Stephanie, a daughter, Kristin E. McGlynn and her husband Kevin, a brother, Raymond E. Gill, Jr., a sister, Patricia M. Barrette, three grandchildren, Karis and Taryn Gill and Seamus McGlynn. He was the brother of the late Richard S. Gill.Committal prayers will be held Thursday, at 12:00 noon in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery Chapel, 301 South County Trail, Exeter, RI, followed by military honors. A celebration of life will be held immediately following at Duffy's Tavern, 235 Tower Hill Rd, North Kingstown, RI 02852.
