He was a son of the late Manuel and Evangelina (Paiva) Lima; beloved husband of Rosemary (Iavarone) Lima; devoted father of Roger Lima Jr., Cheryl Gallagher and her husband Brendan; Poppy of Leah and Michael Gallagher; brother of Richard Lima and the late Diana Lima and Lorraine Lopez.
Roger had worked as an audio/visual supervisor for RI College 35 years before retiring in June 2007. He was a member of Trout Unlimited and the United Fly Tyers of RI.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, 10:30-11 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Graveside burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation at www.wish.org .
