

He was the father of Corey Campopiano and Mia (Campopiano) Weldon. In addition to his daughters, he leaves a sister, Nancy (Campopiano) Patenaude and her husband Robert.
Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Augusto and Julie (Lepine) Campopiano.
Ron grew up in the Diamond Hill neighborhood in Woonsocket and served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Receiving his education at Rhode Island College and Anna Maria College, he was a retired state MSW and LICSW, as well as a practicing psychologist.
Ron had many passions. He had a love for the outdoors. Ron could often be found hiking through trails with his dog or walking the beach. He was also a lifelong fan and participant in sports. Whenever at his house, he would always have a sporting event on the television. You could always find Ron in the kitchen cooking up a gourmet meal or listening to his classic rock music, especially The Rolling Stones - Long live Mick Jagger!
Ron was an extremely loyal friend who had a heart bigger than life.
