

ProvidenceRonald E. Gaynor, 62, of Pekin Street, died Friday afternoon at home. He was the former husband of Eleanor (Spetelunas) Rossi. Born and raised in Providence, a son of the late Francis J. and Doris M. (Donovan) Gaynor, he was a lifelong resident of the Smith Hill neighborhood. Ronnie served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a stage hand with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Local 23, for many years before retiring. He was also a self-employed painter most of his life. Beside his former wife, he leaves two sons, Paul J. Spetelunas and Ronald E. Gaynor; a daughter, Kerrie Lynn Macaruso; six brothers, Robert, William, Dennis, John, Gary and Kenneth Gaynor; a sister, Janet M. Capuano; and six loving grandchildren, Paul, Skylar, Brooke, Ronald, Rachel and Emily. The funeral will be held Thursday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Patrick Church, 244 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
