

Warwick Ronald A. Pomfret, Sr., 79, of Ferncliff Avenue, died Tuesday at Miriam Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Paula M. (Haigh) Pomfret. They were married for 57 years.Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Arthur and Hylda (Grayson) Pomfret. Ron was a boating enthusiast and enjoyed many trips up and down the Intercostal Waterway with his first mate, Paula. He was a faithful communicant of Saint Clement Church.In addition to his wife Paula, he leaves three daughters, Christine A. (Donald) D'Anjou, Alison M. (Bruce) Bussolini, and P. Lynn (Martin) Going, a sister, Janice Clapp; six grandchildren, Amanda, David, Julie, Kerry, Daniel, and Jeremy, and four great granddaughters, Addison, Ava, Penelope, and Charlotte. He was predeceased by his sons, Ronald A. Pomfret, Jr. and Christian A. Pomfret, brothers Robert, Richard and Randolph Pomfret, and sisters, Joan DiSpirito, and Judith Johnson-Hannan. His funeral with visitation will be held on Saturday morning, from 9:00 to 10:30 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Saint Clement Church, 111 Long Street, Warwick. Burial will be in Saint Ambrose Cemetery, Lincoln.
