Ronald Anthony Ricci

He was the beloved husband of Donna M. (Manocchia) Ricci for nearly 58 years.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Luigi and Ida (Rufo) Ricci, Ron was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Candace M. (Ricci) Mendes. He was the father-in-law of Bob Mendes and his wife Karen, and the grandfather of Matthew and Andrew Mendes. Ron also leaves a brother, Louis Ricci of Richmond and his wife, Roberta, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He never forgot anyone.

Ron loved his family and friends with his whole heart. He was as devoted to his grandsons’ Little League and basketball games and scouting and school events as he was to his daughter’s softball games.

Ron worked for many years in the insurance and mortgage industries. He was active in his community and his church parish. Always eager to go on another adventure with friends and family, Ron relished every opportunity to travel and make wonderful memories with those he loved.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 9:30-10:30 AM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Saint Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private.
