
Rosalyn Davidow Geller, 90, passed away on September 30th, 2011, in Seminole, Florida. Mrs. Geller was born in New Bedford, MA; she and her late husband Norman Geller had resided in Florida since 1973. She was the daughter of Sophie and Charles Davidow of New Bedford.
Mrs. Geller graduated from New Bedford High School and Bryant College in Providence, RI. For many years she was Executive Secretary of Tifereth Israel Synagogue, managing membership and administration. She later became a teacher at Kinyon-Campbell Business School in New Bedford.
After moving to Florida, the Gellers lived in Redington Beach and St. Petersburg. Mrs. Geller enjoyed music, theater, dance and many other cultural activites. She was interested in politics and always kept up with current events. She was an active member of the Brandeis University National Women's Committee. In recent years she was a resident of Freedom Square in Seminole, Florida.
Mrs. Geller was a beloved mother and grandmother, and she will be deeply missed by her children, Dr. Alan S. (Rosi) Geller of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Phylis Geller (Fred Pollack), of Washington, D.C.; and her dear sister, Irma (Dr. Michael) Trupp of Scarsdale, NY. She was very proud of her grandchildren Dr. Michele Geller (Robert Naftoly) and Jeffrey (Gabrielle) Geller, as well as her four great-grandchildren and many devoted nieces and nephews. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Doctors Without Borders, her favorite charity. Funeral arrangements by Sugarman-Sinai, Providence R.I., graveside at Plainville Cemetery, New Bedford was held on Sunday, October 2, 2011.
