Loving wife to the late Rudolph D'Andrea for 46 years. Beloved mother of Marisa (D'Andrea) Barber and grandmother of Cameron Alexander Barber, of Newmarket, Ontario.
Rose was a woman ahead of her time. She graduated with a degree in Design from Rhode Island School of Design in 1944. She lived her dream, working in the world of fashion and jewelry design in New York City, Los Angeles and Boston. Back in Rhode Island she continued to remain in the design world, teaching at RISD and painting. She was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, serving as a deaconess, Sunday school teacher and in the Women's Society.
Rose and Rudy lived in Lincoln since 1961, but her favorite place by far was Ogunquit, Maine, where she loved to paint, walk on the cliffs, and explore art galleries.
Rose enjoyed a long and rewarding 91 years, loved by her family, friends, and neighbors.
A memorial service will be held in celebration of Rose's life on Wednesday, April 17th at 11:00 AM at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 529 Charles Street, Providence.
