
Pawtucket Rosiline M. Chin, 59, of Newport Avenue, passed away Saturday morning at Rhode Island hospital with her family by her side.Born in Boston, a daughter of the late Mary Harbin, she lived in Rhode Island her entire life.Rosiline was a graduate of CCRI earning a Practical Nursing Degree. During her 25 years as a practicing nurse, she devoted tireless energy into helping care for families in need of compassion with her spirited personality and welcoming smile. Her ability to inspire others led to a great deal of nursing assistants to go back to college to achieve their professional dreams of becoming registered nurses. Rosiline was a communicant of St. Paul's Church having taught CCD classes for ten years. Having a deep passion for her family and community, she became the first female Vice-President for the Edgewood Eagles, directing the first squad of cheerleaders. In addition, she was an Edgewood Cub Scout leader for over 8 years. She loved to spark up a conversation about her many interests including sports, music, antiques, politics, pets, movies, and her "sons." She passes her charisma, creativity, and devotion for the greater good to each of her six sons, to which she loved deeply: David and Karen Abbott, Jason and Heather Cunnion. Christopher and Deanna Cunnion, Jeffrey Abbott, Jonathan Chin, Daniel Chin, and four grandchildren. She leaves her love with her only sister, Christina Zanfagna, and "little sis" Mary Thurber. The funeral service will be held on Saturday morning, at 10:00 am, in the Faith Christian Center, 95 Sagamore Road, Seekonk, Massachusetts. Visiting hours Wednesday evening 5 - 8 pm, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to both the wake, on Wednesday evening, and funeral service, on Saturday morning. In lieu of flowers donations to the Providence Rescue Mission, 627 Cranston Street, Providence, RI 02907 in her memory will be appreciated.
