Russell Austin Coyle

Russell A. Coyle, 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at home with family by his side. He was a kind and loving man and will be greatly missed. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Kathleen (McCrudden) Coyle after 58 years of marriage. Born in Providence, Rhode Island he was the son of the late Daniel P. and Genevieve (Murphy) Coyle. He was a longtime resident of Connecticut and Rhode Island. For the last four years he resided with his three sons and their families in Virginia and Connecticut. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and had a deep love of family.Before his retirement, Russell was employed by Aetna Life and Casualty and had previously worked at the Providence Railroad where he met his wife Kathleen. He served in the U.S. Military and was awarded a Purple Heart. He graduated from Holy Apostles College with a Bachelor's Degree in Theology. Russell was a devout Catholic and enjoyed playing hockey, walking his dog, singing, and spending time with family. He was a member of the Elks Club and Knights of Columbus.Russell is survived by his son, Daniel Coyle and his wife Angela of Fairfax, VA; his son Kevin Coyle and his wife Theresa of Columbia, CT; his son Bernard Coyle and his wife Nancy of Alexandria, VA; his sister Marilyn Kennedy of Warwick, RI; his granddaughters Meaghan Coyle, Maggie Coyle and Danielle Coyle; and several nieces and nephews.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 9:00 AM at Holy Angels Parish, 341 Maple Ave., Barrington, RI, to which relatives are cordially invited. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence, RI. Donations in Russell's memory may be sent to American Heart Association, P.O.
