Sandra Elizabeth Actis

After a long and abundant life, Sandra E. (Gallonio) Actis, sister of Angelo Gallonio (deceased), passed away peacefully and unexpectedly in her sleep on March 25, 2021. Along with many loving friends and extended family, she leaves her husband, Joseph Actis Jr., 3 children; Lisa Dahl and her partner Mark Vinbury, Rob Paci Jr., Christopher Paci, and 2 stepchildren; Pattie and her husband Mike Ceci and Joseph Michael Actis. She loved being the Grandmother to Luc Ceci, Terrell Paci, Micheal and his wife Melanie Ceci, Matthew and his wife Skylar Ceci, Nicole and her husband Aaron Lee, John Ceci and Ian Dahl and the Great Grandmother to Micheal Ceci.

Sandra was very connected to God and her church community and had a deep faith. Most knew to go to her for prayers of petition. She was a Eucharistic Minister and would often visit those who were sick or alone. After retiring from RIDOT, she and Joe spent over 15 years enjoying life in California before relocating back to RI in 2018. In addition, she traveled to Hawaii to visit her grandchildren and Italy on a church tour where she had the most exciting opportunity to see Pope Francis. She and Joe loved to take walks or drives together always prepared with a picnic basket and a bottle of wine. She enjoyed reading, attending bible study, making wine biscuits, sharing meals around the table with family and friends, and talking on the phone especially with her grandchildren. Sending a special card for birthdays and anniversaries or just because was her trademark. She touched the lives of many which was evident by how often she would encounter someone she knew when she was out and about. She was loved by many and will be sorely missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, 244 Smith Street, Providence, followed by burial in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Patrick Church, 244 Smith Street, Providence, RI 02908.
