Sarah "Sandy" (Lane) Famiglietti, 72, of Johnston, RI, passed away peacefully on April 26th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Providence, RI, she was the cherished daughter of the late Walter Edward Lane Sr. and Angelina (Gesualdi) Lane.

Sandy was a lifelong resident of Johnston, RI, and a devoted animal lover, known for her deep affection for dogs and cats. She worked as a respiratory therapist for many years at Miriam and Fatima Hospitals, where

she was known for her dedication and compassion.

Throughout her life, she achieved many accomplishments as both an author and a dancer, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew her. Her passion for the arts and her love for animals were evident to all. In addition to her professional achievements, Sandy enjoyed hobbies such as writing poetry as well as playing her accordion and organ. Her creative spirit and love for learning were evident in all she did.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Gerald C. Famiglietti, and her late brother, Walter E. Lane Jr. Sandy leaves behind her adored brothers, John Lane of Johnston and Brian Lane and his wife Dawn of Johnston. She also leaves behind her loving nieces and nephews, Walter E. Lane III, Michael Lane, Stephanie Lane, Erica Giammarco, Julia Lane, Walter E. Lane IV, Michael Lane Jr., Violet Lane, Matthew Santos, and Jay Santos, as well as her dear aunt, Carol Gesualdi. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Ziva, and her cats, Chloe, Okeechi, and Hannah.

Sandy cherished the simple things in life and always put her family first. She was a constant source of support and love, always there when anyone needed help. Her warmth and kindness will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Her visitation and burial were private.
