Sarah Jean Lawton Volante

North Providence: Sarah died on May 3, 2014 in Boston, MA. She was the daughter of Sue and Ron Volante. Sarah is survived by her sister, Rachel Volante and her companion Thomas Synnott, her aunt and uncle Nancy and Bill Buonauito, and cousins Nicole Buonauito and her companion Eric Capella, and Emma Buonauito and her husband Serge Rekhtman. Also cherishing her were her best friends Michael Ross and lifelong childhood friend Michaela Reynolds. Leslie Herrmann and Maria Kasparian were her best college friends. She also leaves behind her four-legged friends, LulaMae and Mia. Sarah led a remarkable and accomplished life, graduating as salutatorian from North Providence High School. She continued her education at Brown University graduating with a BA in 2005. Sarah followed that with a dual Juris Doctor and a Masters in Public Health from Northeastern & Tufts University in 2012. She was continuing her post-graduate education at Boston University for a Masters in Communications.She was predeceased by her grandparents, Jean and Donald Lawton and Angela and Edward Volante, all of Providence, RI.Special thank you to the staff at Boston Tufts MICU and Hasbro Children’s Hospital. She was treasured and cherished by all.Her funeral will be held at St. Stephens Church, 114 George St, Providence, Rhode Island, on Thursday, May 8th at 10:30 am. This will be followed by a reception celebrating her life in the upper hall of the church. Please join us in commemorating her life by wearing a touch of pink. Burial will be private.
