Born in Providence, Shirley was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Vera (Filippone) Barone.
She lived in both Providence and East Providence before moving to Bristol in 1985, a graduate if Bryant College (now University) and she began her career as a teacher at Carl G. Elementary School in Providence. Shirley was also a former Sister of Our Lady of Providence, she will be survived by her beloved relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on August 6, 2025 at 10:00 am in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Providence.
