Shirley F. Luther Dupra

Shirley F. (Luther) Scaramuzzi Dupra, 79, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on February 25, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph B. Dupra and the beloved former wife of Francesco “Frank” Scaramuzzi. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Rose (Rockwell) Luther.

Shirley is survived by her children, Deborah A. Scaramuzzi, Karen A. Pollard and her husband Jim, Donna M. Kulas, Michelle A. Iozzi, Michael A. Scaramuzzi and his wife Sheila, and the late Frank D. Scaramuzzi. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog Molly. She was the sister of the late Gladys Manchester, Helen Barnes, Ruth Barnes, Roland Hall, Phyllis Leite and Lois Leite.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 6th at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Inurnment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Edward Food & Wellness Center, 997 Branch Avenue, Providence, RI 02904 or the RISPCA, 186 Amaral Street, Riverside, RI 02915.
