Barrington: Law, Sophie A.(Pyrek), 88, of County Road, passed away on Wednesday at her home. She was the wife of the late James A. Law. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Helen (Stakowicz) Pyrek. Mother of Mary and son-in-law Michael Wright. Grandmother of Nancy and Steve and great grandmother of Akira Adams. Sister of Joseph, Anthony and Edward Pyrek and the late Blanche Place. Sophie was a respiratory technician at the former Lying-In-Hospital for 24 years. She was a member of the Smith Hill Senior Center and the Barrington Senior Center. Her funeral and visitation will be held on Monday at 8 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am in St. Patrick Church, Smith St., Providence. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
