Born in Providence, he was the son of Evelyn D. (Rastelli) Gemma and the late Stephen J. Gemma, Sr. and had been the husband of Sandra L. (Medeiros) Gemma for 20 years.
Stephen was the brother of Joseph A. Gemma and his wife, Joanne and Robert M. Gemma, Sr. and his wife, Diane; uncle of six nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday, 5-8 p.m. with a funeral on Tuesday at 8 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence, with interment to follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
