To Stephen Hathaway's children:
Know that your Dad had endless love for you. In fact, you were his life. Losing a father at any age is losing him too soon. It will take time, but eventually, you will begin to heal and you will feel your Dad's presence again. You will hear his voice in your mind when he is responding to something difficult you are going through. You'll remember his wise words and feel his guidance. And you'll know in your heart that he is still with you. I'm praying for all of you. May God bless you and hold you in the palms of his hands.

To Stephen:
I cherish the short time we had together. You were always a kind, gentle, loving and generous man. I have so many wonderful memories of the time we shared. We had deep conversations about life. You always cared and asked about my son. One day, you said, "I think we're soulmates". I had that thought a day or so before you said it. And that's how it was with us. During the last few months, especially, you have given me so much loving support. Rest in peace, sweetheart. Right now it feels like we are far apart, but soulmates never lose each other. They always find each other again. We will find each other again. My love for you is forever.

Very sad to hear the news of Steve’s passing. I played a lot of basketball with Steve in my youth and early adult hood.
He died doing what he loved.
He was always a team player and a real gentleman.
I will pray for his children and grandchildren
God Bless
