Sue L. Roberti Monigan

Sue L. (Roberti) Monigan, 93, passed away January 7, 2017. She was the wife of the late Edward “Red” C. Monigan Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Theresa (Spicola) Roberti. She was the mother of William P. Monigan and his wife Arleen of Lady Lake, Florida, Michael “Red” P. Monigan and his wife Donna M. of Cumberland, and the late Edward C. Monigan Jr.; mother-in-law of Diane L. Monigan; grandmother of Edward III and his wife Stephanie, William Jr. and his wife Kathryn, Benjamin and his wife Crismel, Michael Jr. and his fiance Nicole, and Rebeka; great-grandmother of Edward IV and William Robert. She was the sister of the late Phyllis Cutillo and John Roberti.

Sue had a great sense of humor, she loved family gatherings and will be best remembered for her great Italian cooking.

Visitation Wednesday, 4-7 p.m. with her funeral on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in the St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept.142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
