

Born in Providence, a daughter of Annette (Trudeau) Smith and the late Walter Smith , she had lived in Annapolis, MD until moving back to Providence four years ago.
Suzanne was a Peabody award winning graphic artist for the ABC News "Nightline" program with Ted Koppel in Washington DC. Prior to that, she served as graphic artist for the ABC News program "This week with David Brinkley". Prior to ABC News, Suzanne worked for then WNEV-TV in Boston and WJAR-TV in Providence.
Among her many talents was a love of gardening and her love of dogs. Suzanne was a foster mom to many rescued dogs through the rescue group "Save A Lab".
Suzanne is preceded in death by a nephew and godson Michael Dorry and her beloved sister Marguerite (Peg) Loiselle, the wife of Leo Loiselle of Cranston. She is also survived by sister Theresa Dorry of North Smithfield, brother Walter Smith and his wife Sally of Bristol, and sister Nancy (Smith) Coletta and husband Frank of Scituate.
Besides her loving husband and siblings Suzanne is survived by nephews William Dorry, Mark Smith, Daniel Loiselle, Eric Smith, and John Coletta and a niece Monique Nunes.
A celebration of Suzanne's life will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 12 noon in the Rose Garden of Roger Williams Park, Providence. Relatives and friends are welcome. In lieu of flowers even though Suzanne adored them contributions in her name to HopeHospiceRI.org and SaveALabRescue.org would be appreciated.
