Ted L. Shackelford, 76, of Crossen Street, died Tuesday at Rhode Island Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Elaine A. (Dupre) Shackelford.Born in Columbus, Ohio, he was a son of the late Theodore and Elsie (Howard) Shackelford.Ted was the owner of the Apple Lounge, in Florida, for many years before retiring, and served honorably in the United States Navy.In addition to his wife Elaine, he leaves two sons, David A. Shackelford and his wife Lucia, and Mark A. Shackelford; a daughter, Robin M. Lemoie; a brother, Arthur Shackelford; three sisters, Shelda Eishen, Dora Horner and Linda Hugg; five loving grandchildren, Katlyn, Melanie, Nicholas, Teddy and Arianna; and a great-granddaughter, Isabella. The visitation will begin on Saturday, at 11:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt117) Warwick, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 noon, to which relatives and friends are invited.
