Thelma A. D'Amico
June 13, 1928 – March 16, 2023

Thelma A. (Prete) D’Amico, age 94, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph D’Amico.
Born in North Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Lapolla) Prete.
Thelma was a remarkable woman who was ahead of her time. She was strong and independent and imparted these traits into her children. She took great pride in her family. She cherished each of her children and grandchildren and imparted her wisdom onto them. She valued their individuality and their unique talents. She possessed a listening ear, a loving heart, and an agile mind. She loved word games, reading, knitting, baking, and watching sports. She had a knack for entertaining and prided herself on always having a perfectly set table. She will forever be remembered for her radiant smile and selfless spirit.
She was the loving mother of Monica A. Nason (Daniel), Jo-Ann Forrest (Raymond), Ann M. Saccoccia (Edward), and Joy M. Cervone (Anthony); cherished grandmother of Joseph Carnevale, Victoria Nason, and the late Robert Carnevale; sister of the late Joseph Prete, Lena Casolla, Jo-Ann Furioli, Eileen Costa, and Marilyn Prete; and aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins St, Providence. The family will be greeting guests at St. Ann Church beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be private.
