Theng Vongvixay, 66, of Providence, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. He was the husband of Valy Vongvixay. Born in Vientiane, Laos, he was a son of the late Umka and Lim Vongvixay. He worked as a welder for Senesco Marine in North Kingstown. Theng also enjoyed going to the casino’s. Besides his wife, he leaves his two sons, Souvit and Souvath Vongvixay of Providence; a brother, Thong Vongvixay; a sister, Seng Vongvixay; and two grandchildren, Phommala Songkhors and Alyxx Vongvixay. Buddhist funeral services and visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 8:00 am – 10:00 am, at the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Cremation to follow at the Swan Point Crematory, Providence (located within the Chapel of Hope and Memory in the Swan Point Cemetery).
