Providence: Dwyer, Thomas J., 84, of River Ave, passed away on Thursday at the Rhode Island Veterans Home in Bristol. He was the husband of the late Claire M. (Arpin) Dwyer. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Philip and Annie (Higgins) Dwyer. Mr. Dwyer worked for the General Electric Co., Providence Baseworks for 20 years retiring in 1987. He previously worked for 10 years at Uniroyal in Providence. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He is survived by his son, Kevin Dwyer and his wife Janet of Providence, and two grandchildren, Kevin and Lauren Dwyer. He was the brother of the late Ann Beaudry. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 am in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., Providence. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours will be Tuesday 8:30 am to 10:00 am.
