Thomas Alfred Leech

Leech, Thomas A., 86, of Chepachet, passed away peacefully on Sunday,January 10, 2016 at his home. He was the loving husband of the late Martha F. (Carty) Leech.Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Francis R. and Cecelia (Smith) Leech.Thomas proudly served and protected the City of Providence as a Police Officer for 22 years, and also served in the U.S. Army and the R.I. National Guard. Tom was a member of the South County Rod and Gun Club for many years as well as a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Providence Lodge 3.He leaves four sons, Thomas A. Jr., Michael L., Kevin J., and Timothy M. Leech, a daughter, Colleen F. McGuire, and eight grandchildren, Steven, Scott, Cory, Cameron, Casey, William, Brenna Leech, and Chelsea Silipigni. He was the brother of the late Francis R. Leech, Jr. and Eleanor B. Leech.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, at 10:00 am in Saint Raymond Church, 1240 North Main Street, Providence. Burial, with military honors, will be in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours Friday, 3 - 7pm in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, (Rt. 117) Warwick.
