I am sorry to hear of Mr. Pearlman's passing. He was a kind man and I could count on him when there were legal problems. May he rest in peace.

Rabbi Avie Shapiro

May 2, 2014

This is Rabbi Avie Shapiro, presently living in Southfield, Michigan. My brother, Rabbi Dovid Shapiro called from Yerushalayim on Wednesday to tell me of the passing of your dear father, etc. In 1973 when I had a parting of the ways with PHDS, your dear father introduced me to Rabbi Boruch Korff. The next 7 months of having a job to occupy my time definitely preserved my sanity!! Hakoras Hatov has no statute of limitations. I will always remember your father's concern for my well-being!! Obviously my story is merely one of so many others and I assume that Thom Pearlman never bragged to his family about the acts of Chessed that he performed. May his precious Neshama enjoy the Heavenly rewards that he so richly deserves.
I also have regards for the older members of your family from a gentleman named Nathan Ludman. He has lived here since 2004 and now resides at our Jewish Home for the Aged, where I work. My warmest condolences to all of you.
