Thomas Walsh

Thomas H. Walsh, 87, of Rhode Island, passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2026. He was the devoted husband of the late Rose Anna (Croce) Walsh, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories.

Born in Providence, Thomas was the son of the late Edward F. Walsh and Louise (Barrington) Walsh. A proud American, he honorably served his country in the United States Army, carrying the values of duty, dedication, and service throughout his life.

Thomas was a hardworking and dependable man who spent many years employed by the Providence Gas Company. After his retirement, his generous spirit led him to continue serving others through his work delivering meals for the Cranston Senior Center, where his kindness and warm personality brightened the lives of many.

Family was at the heart of Thomas's life. He treasured spending time with loved ones, especially enjoying family picnics filled with laughter, stories, and togetherness. He also found great enjoyment on the golf course and looked forward to trips to the casino, where he shared many memorable moments with family and friends.

Thomas will be remembered for his gentle nature, strong work ethic, unwavering loyalty to those he loved, and the joy he found in life's simple pleasures. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was the beloved uncle of his special niece Kathy-Ann Kudzma and many other nieces and nephews and was the brother of the late Edward Walsh, Margaret Tramonti, Barbara Tenerella, Jean Gallo, Carol Cashion, and Katherine L. Kraus.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

Though he has departed this earthly life, Thomas leaves behind a legacy of service, kindness, and devotion to family that will be treasured and remembered always.
