Born in Providence, Tillie was the daughter of the late Samuel and Dora (Sarser) Strashnick. After residing in New York for two decades, she returned to Rhode Island in 1992.
Throughout her life, Tillie was an active member of various organizations. She was a long-time congregant of Temple Emanu-El, a dedicated member of the Miriam Hospital Women’s Association, the National Council of Jewish Women, the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, the Rhode Island Jewish Historical Association, and the Simon Wiesenthal Center.
Tillie is survived by her numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her seven siblings: Shirley Leibow, Katherine Pedlikin, Mildred Bloomberg, Doris Arbeitman, Irma Friedlander, Louis, and George Strashnick.
A graveside service will be held Friday, March 20, 2026 at 10:00 am in Lincoln Park Cemetery, Warwick.
