Providence Timothy P. Murphy, 56, of Providence, died peacefully Friday morning at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Care Center. Born in Providence, he was a son of Agatha (McLaughlin) Murphy Carey and the late James B. Murphy and the late Joseph T. Carey. Tim was a chef most of his life, most recently at Twin Oaks Restaurant, retiring several years ago due to illness. In addition to his mother, he leaves three brothers, Francis, James and William; three sisters, Theresa, Margaret and Mary; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Tuesday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Blessed Sacrament Church, 179 Academy Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Monday, 5:00 - 7:00 pm.
