Vincent V. Barra

Born in Dover, NH, he was the son of the late Anthony and Anna (Vachon) Barra.

Vincent owned and operated Barra Construction and Den-Jul Realty for 35 years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Alpine Country Club for over 20 years, a Board member of Security Bank and Trust in North Providence for 10 years, member of the Italo American Club on Broadway in Providence and served as President of the Cranston City Hall Athletic Club. He was also an avid golfer, card player and later in life, along with his wife, became an avid bingo player.

He was the father of Denise M. Barra and Julie Pinheiro and her husband John and uncle to several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of Robert Barra and the late Richard Barra, Sandra Brocchi and Deanna Chirico.

His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:30 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a service in the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow in the R.I.
