Born in Providence, he was a son of the late John and Carmella (Antonelli) Volpe; husband of the late Carolyn T. (Petrella) Volpe; father of Vincent R. Volpe, II and Nina A. Szumita; grandfather of Zachary, Cameron and Brandon Szumita, Vincent and Domenic Volpe and one great-granddaughter, Nariah Szumita; brother of John Volpe, Claire Korkut and the late Thomas Volpe.
Mr. Volpe was a registered pharmacist and was the owner and operator of the Greenville Pharmacy.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Wednesday, 8 - 9:15 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston.
