Virginia A. (Venditti) Chase, 81, passed away August 3, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Vincent and Malchiora (Christina) Venditti; wife of the late William F. Chase Sr.; mother of William F. Chase Jr. and his wife Kristin and Stephen Chase; grandmother of Sarah, Matthew, and Cameron; sister of Maria Iuliano and Phyllis DiPrete.
Virginia was president of the Guild Division Old Stone Bank, retiring in 1992. She was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, and a valedictorian and Anthony Medal recipient. She enjoyed oil and water color painting and traveled extensively throughout the world. She was a lifelong communicant of Saint Anthony Church where she served as Lector and Eucharistic Minister.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, 4-7 p.m. with her funeral on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence, followed by burial in Mt. Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
