Virginia was the beloved daughter of the late Giovanni and Anna (Mendola) Tarantino and dear sister of the late Frank, Thomas, Anthony and Joseph Tarantino, Anna Petrucci, Angie Ciliberto, Rose Azzarone, Jennie Lombardi and Dolores Carchia.
Virginia was the beloved mother of Audrey Micheli and the late Frank and Anthony Sullo. She was the special mother in law of Russell and Suzy Paiva Sullo and the adoring grandmother of Amanda (Jarrod), Frank (Elana), Christopher (Sindy), Russell (Amanda), Marissa (Nicholas), Brooklyn, Alexia, Antonio, and Johnny. She was also the beloved great grandmother of Talia, Trevor, Lily, Angelina, Jonathan, Lyla, Maddox, Isabella, Brody and Novah.
Virginia was the former wife of Frank Sullo, Jr., who remained her best friend throughout her life. She is survived by her special friend Joseph Kelly. She leaves behind many lifelong friends, Shirley, Marie and Carol. She was a favorite resident of Allegria Court where she resided and had many friends including Gloria, Lindsey, Marie and Pat. She was known for her delicious Italian cooking and loved to share it with her neighbors.
Virginia also leaves behind many wonderful nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly, especially her niece, Judy Ann, who was a constant by her side.
As soon as Virginia became a mother, she dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. She excelled at motherhood and was the foundation of our family through and through.
Virginia was known for her excellent gift giving and always gave the most beautiful cards she always knew the right thing to say, never missing a special date, and being a friend to everyone she met. She was a constant cheerleader and supporter of her family and friends. To know Virginia was to love her, and if she was your friend, you were lucky to have a friend for life.
She may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
Virginia was a former employee of Catamore Jewelry and Our Lady of Fatima Hospital.
Her visitation and funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 am in the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a funeral home service at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
