Born in Providence, he was a son of Panagiota (Derziotis) Gionis and the late Charles W. Gionis.
William grew up in North Providence and lived there for the majority of his life. He graduated from New England Institute of Technology followed by a career in technology/media-related fields.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his brother Nickolas Gionis and his wife Kendra; niece Karinda Gionis; nephew Nickolas Gionis; several aunts, uncles, and cousins and his beloved dog Woobie.
His visitation will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St, Providence followed by a service in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in North Burial Ground Cemetery, Providence.
