Providence: Norton, William H. Sr., 87, of Douglas Ave, died Friday at Berkshire Place. He was the husband of the late Catherine R. (Crowley) Norton.Born in Providence, he was the son of the late William H. and Margaret (McCullough) Norton.Mr. Norton had worked as an assistant building superintendant for the former Industrial National Bank in Providnece for 13 years, retiring in 1980. He was a World War II Army Veteran and a member of the Roger Williams American Legion Post #35. He is survived by his 6 children, Joyce F. Mazzatto, William H. Norton, Jr. and his wife Joann, George R. Norton, Judith A. Graziano, Joseph R. Norton and Robert J. Norton, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. He was the brother of the late Daniel Norton.Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday 5-8pm in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St. Providence. Burial will be private in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
