Adelia T. Gonzales

October 3, 1928 – July 21, 2026

Adelia “Grandma Dee” Gonzales, 97, peacefully passed away in her home on July 21, 2026, in Pueblo, Colorado.

She was born in Taos, New Mexico, on October 3, 1928.

Adelia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alberto Gonzales; her son Andres Gonzales; her grandparents Juanita and Quillino Torres; her parents Andres and Senaida Torres; numerous brothers and sisters; her niece Terri; and her nephew Jimmy.

She is survived by her brother Ernest Torres (Flora) and Juan Chavez.

She was blessed with her loving children, Rose Zabalveitia (Mike), Emma Trujillo (Dan), Lucille Gonzales (Gene), Robert Gonzales (Debbie), Gabe Gonzales (Donna), Will Gonzales, and Anthony Gonzales (Mary).

Adelia loved and cherished her grandchildren: Toni Jo Rubio, Roxanne Gonzalez (Brian), Michael Zabalveitia (Amanda), Dianna Tercan, Alysia Trujillo, Albert Gonzales, John Gonzales (Jennifer), Tricia DeHaan (William), David Ortiviz, Nicole Curtis (Dan), Joe Gonzales, Todd Gonzales, Marina Gonzales, Michael Thrun, and Jaclyn Reaka (Jon).

Her legacy continues with her great-grandchildren: Nastassja Rubio, Seth Rubio (Brooklyn), Arika Gonzalez, Ryan Gonzalez, Zayden Zabalveitia, Weston Gonzales, Rhett Morris (Kaitlin), Kendall Morris, Madison DeHaan, Noah Gonzales, Max Gonzales, Cloe Reaka, and Brantley Reaka.

She was also blessed with two great-great-grandchildren, Aila Rubio and Marcello Rubio.

Adelia will be remembered for her loving heart, devotion to family, and the joy she brought to everyone who knew her. Her hobbies included sewing, diamond painting, iPad gaming, and making her deliciously famous “Gonsalsa.” Her memory will live on through the generations of family who were fortunate to call her “Grandma Dee.”
