Alan was born in Cudahy, WI to Harold and Marcie Olson on July 15, 1959. Alan was preceded in death by both parents, brothers Ron, Bill, and Chuck, and sister-in-law Chrissie. Alan is survived by brothers Gary, Erik, and Kris, and sister Cathe, special friend Julie Brown, and sister-in-law Sharon Olson. Also survived by nieces Erica (Chris) Becker, Karen (Chad) Parker, Brenda (Joe) DeGrado, Adrienne Banket, and nephew Aaron Olson. He leaves behind several great-nieces and great-nephews, and several dear friends. He also leaves behind his beloved kitties, Milo and Elway, that he called his “boys.”
Alan was a die-hard Bronco fan for many years. The Green Bay Packers were also special to him.
Alan was an excellent cook. He prepared for many parties and prided himself on the presentation of the meals he prepared.
Alan spent several years in Colorado. He went to Morton Elementary, Freed Middle School, and Centennial High School. After graduation, Alan joined the Navy where he spent four years at sea. He was a Commercial Painter and Artistic Designer. Part of his job included painting Miller Park in Milwaukee, and the Batmobile at Great America in Gurnee Mills, Illinois. Alan loved music, and the louder the better. You could hear him coming in his Toyota FJ Cruiser from a mile away. He would often pull up to the house, play the drums on the steering wheel, and sit there until the song was over. Joe Bonamassa was one of his favorite Blues Singers. He enjoyed going to concerts and collecting autographed guitars from all his favorite Blues Artists. Al will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
To honor Alan’s memory, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
A celebration of Alan’s life will be held Friday, March 15, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Family Worship Center, 3800 Parker Blvd.
