Albert Montelongo, 92, was born April 23, 1926 in Pueblo CO. He went to be with the lord on Oct 4, 2018 in Pueblo CO surrounded by his family. Preceded in death by his loving wife Ruby Montelongo of 57 years. Survived by his brother Domingo(Sadie) and his sister Connie(Felix), his children Diana(Carlos), Edward(Debbie), Steven, Albert(Christina), many beloved grandchildren great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. Albert grew up in Pueblo and served his country from 1944 to 1946 where he earned a purple heart in World War II. He married the love of his life Ruby in 1947 and had 4 beautiful children. Albert retired from CF&I of 40 years in 1983 where he worked as a crane operator for the Rod and Bar Mill. He was an avid Rockies fan and loved the game of baseball. He enjoyed sitting on his porch listening to Mexican music, telling stories of the past, talking baseball and bragging about his grandkids. What he loved most was spending time with his family, especially hosting Sunday meals at his house surrounded by everyone he loved. His grandchildren and greatgrandchildren where the highlight of his life and love them all the same. Special thank you to his Daughter Nena and Son Eddie for taking such good care of him in his final days. Services begin at 9 with the Mass at 10am Friday, October 12, at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
