Alonzo “Al” Sanchez passed away Aug. 17, 2012. Predeceased by his parents, Abenicio and Brigida Sanchez; brothers, Charles, Ben, Pete; sister Corrine Herrera; and his twin brother , Alfonso Sanchez. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Rose Mary; children, Shirley (Scott) Filer, Kenneth Sanchez, Deanna (Craig Bow) Sanchez, and Elaine (Ralph Martinez) Sanchez; grandchildren, Lindsey (Stephen) Mestas, Lisa Filer, Tori Sanchez, Jacob and Anabella Berumen; great-grandchildren, Maguire, Madison and Macie Mestas; sisters, Carmen Ledford and Christella (Frank) Munoz; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family. Al worked for Alpha Beta for 25 years, and then JM Manufacturing, retiring in 1995. He served in the US Navy for 4 years, and enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting with friends and family but especially with his son Ken and grandson Jacob. Al was a very special person and will be missed by all who knew him. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend and taught all of us so much. He was always there for anyone who needed him. Visitation 4 – 8 pm Tues. at Imperial. Funeral Mass 11am Wed., Holy Family Church. Interment, Imperial.
