Anita Sena-Johnson was born in Las Animas, Colorado on April 19, 1947 to parents Julian and Guadalupe (Pita) Sena and was the youngest of 12 siblings. Anita passed away on June 9, 2024 in Pueblo, CO.
Anita attended the University of Colorado earning a bachelors and a masters degree. She began her career as an educator as an elementary school teacher in the St Vrain School District, Longmont, Colorado where she taught for 13 years. Anita moved to Seattle in 1990 and became a drug and alcohol counselor at Cleveland High School. She finished her career as an ELL teacher at Shorecrest High School and retired in 2012.
Anita is survived by son Don Moore (Cheryl) and daughter Trisha Wonderlick (Bret); by grandchildren Quinton and Juliet Wonderlick and Logan and Landon Moore. She is survived by her husband Eldon, brother Lawrence, sister Margaret Emsick and many nephews and nieces.
Anita was preceded in death by parents Julian and Guadalupe and siblings Benny, Tony, Julian Jr., Viola, Stella, Gilbert, and Tina, and by Paul and Mary Allice both of whom died in infancy.
A memorial service will be held for Anita June 20 at 10 a.m. at Imperial Memorial Gardens, Pueblo, Colorado.
