Ann Correnti, 101, of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away on September 8, 2026. Born December 17, 1924, Ann lived a long life marked by steadfast faith, quiet strength, and a generous devotion to those she loved.
Ann attended public schools in Walsenburg, Colorado, through graduation. Following high school, she entered Nursing School at St. Mary Corwin Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado.
Although Ann ultimately chose a different career than nursing, she worked as a telephone operator with Mountain Bell for 14 years. When her son, Don, was born, Ann devoted herself wholeheartedly to home and family, becoming a wonderful stay-at-home mother and homemaker.
Ann found deep joy in the simple and meaningful pleasures of life: travel, camping, and fishing; rock hunting and exploring; and hosting family gatherings and events that brought people together with warmth and ease. She was an accomplished cook and baker, especially known for potica, and she took pride in the care she put into every detail. Her creativity showed through sewing, beautiful needlework, and crafting, and she enjoyed attending craft fairs with close friends. Ann led and participated in many church and school committees, supporting fundraising and community events, and she also gave her time as a Cub Scout Den Mother—always ready to encourage, organize, and help make things better.
To those who knew her best, Ann was loving, caring, honest, and sweet—someone who led with kindness and a selfless concern for others. She offered encouragement freely, urging loved ones to keep a strong faith in God and to trust in the power of prayer. Thoughtful and forgiving, she had a way of accepting people as they were while still inspiring them to believe in themselves. She could also be funny and spunky, with a playful streak that sometimes revealed itself in a well-timed prank. Talkative and a natural storyteller, Ann’s presence was a comfort—often described as a sanctuary. Truly, she was a rare gem who lived a full and productive life, known for helping anyone in need and for the words she so often shared: “Take care of yourself and God Bless you.”
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Nick Malesovich and Caroline (Skrzynear) Malesovich; her beloved husband, Carmen J. Correnti; her beloved son, Donald G. Correnti; her brother, Joe Malesovich; and her sister, Martha (Malesovich) Cline.
Ann is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Greg) Yengich; her granddaughters, Cara (Ashley Bednarek) and Melissa (John Soto); her great-grandsons, Gregory Shane and Michael Joseph; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and several cousins.
A Joint Memorial Service, for Ann and Don, will be held at Imperial Memorial Gardens, 5450 Highway 78 West, Pueblo, Colorado 81005, on October 7, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
