Ann Marie Ortiz, 69, a beloved partner, mother, sister, friend and cherished "Maga to her grandchildren, passed away suddenly on June 13, 2024 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Born on March 6, 1959 in Raton, New Mexico Ann Marie was a vibrant soul who touched the lives of many.
Ann Marie graduated from Manzano High School in 1973, where she was known for her free spirit, kind heart and love for rock 'n roll. Embracing the spirit of the 70's she was a true flower child.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Patricia Ortiz, her brother Mark Ortiz and her son, Joshua Vargas.
Ann Marie is survived by her loving partner, Les Arguello, her brother Freddie Ortiz, her sisters Joyce Boeck and Annette Ortiz, She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, Thomas Vargas and Amber
Vargas and her grandchildren: Bryanna, Andreas, Aylene, Desmond, Deandra, Estrella, Emilio, Ismael, Joshua, Neveah, Alias, Elijah, Justin, Jaziah and Patrick.
Ann Marie will always be remembered for her humor, her love for her pets, but most of all for the love she had for her family, friends and community. We will all miss that purple spark in our lives. We love you
