Ann J Perko

On June 29, 2016, Ann J. Perko, 95, of Pueblo was called home to be with the Lord. Survived by children, Robert (Duk Hui), Daniel (Linda), Richard (Karen) Perko and Theresa (Mark) Jesik; grandchildren, Travis (Tracy), Richard (Michelle), Brendan (Tiffany) Perko, Mark, David Jesik, Jacquelyn (Shayne) Holowaty; great- grandchildren, Justin, Grace Perko and Cody Holowaty, and four generations of numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Perko; parents, Ivan and Marija Medonic; brothers, Jack (Gertrude), Milan (Elsie), Nick and John Medonich; sisters, Catherine (Ed) Perko, Rose (Richard) Ursick, MaryAnn (Keith) Ferguson and Elsie Medonich. Ann graduated from Pueblo Central High School in 1938. She worked at the CF&I in the crane mill during WWII, was a devoted mother and homemaker, a founding member of Holy Family Parish and member most of her life, member of Our Ladies of Mary, the Nocturnal Adoration Society and the Western Slavonic Association. She had a strong traditional belief in her faith, and prayed daily for many family and friends. Ann enjoyed cooking and caring for her family, especially traditional Croatian and Slovenian foods, was a caregiver for her husband and brother, and assisted family and friends in their times of need. She was an avid Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies fan. Ann touched the lives of many people along her journey, especially in the last few years of her life. She enjoyed seeing and visiting with family and old friends and making new friends. Ann had a special place in her heart for babies and little children. Ann will be greatly missed by all her family, old and new friends. In lieu of flowers or food, please make donations in memory of Ann J. Perko to Sangre de Cristo Hospice House, 1107 Pueblo Blvd. Way; Pueblo, CO 81005. Viewing 2-6pm, Thursday at the funeral home.
