Anna Jo McAvoy

Anna Jo McAvoy, 92, born October 13, 1923, went to be with the Lord on December 12, 2015. Preceded in death by parents, Antonio and Josephine Alessandro; Husbands, Edgar Martin Hoover and Clarence “Hip” McAvoy; Son, William (Bill) Hoover; Brothers, Martin (Velma) Alessandro and Leonardo (Mary Jo) Alessandro; Nephew, John Martin Alessandro; Niece, Diane (Alessandro) Ferrell; and her special, beloved friend, John Sitton. Survived by nephew, Anthony “Tony” Alessandro Also survived by several great nieces and nephews, as well as great, great nephews and nieces. Anna was a stenographer at CF&I for 42 years. She also was on the Minnequa Works Board of Trustees for many years. She will be missed by many friends. She will be deeply missed by Karolyn Madrid & Tina Vialpando. Graveside service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery at 2:00pm, Friday, December 18, 2015. Reception/ Gathering will be held at Anna Jo’s house following the graveside. All donations can be made to Sangre De Cristo Hospice.
