Bernard Wayne Taylor, 81, passed away August 12, 2021. He is survived by his wife Karen Taylor, brothers Gerald, Harold (Loretta) and Charles (Marlena); mother in law Thelma Brown and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ishmael and Lottie Taylor; daughter Tami Holcomb; son Brad Holcomb; sister Vivian Taylor; and Father-in-law J.D. Brown. Wayne was born in Baswell, Oklahoma on January 30, 1940. He graduated from Hugo High School, served in both the US Army and Air Force and later received his BS/MS from San Francisco State University and his PhD from the University of North Texas. He married Karen Holcomb in 1988. He worked as an educator at TVCC in Athens, Texas for many years before retiring. He was a devoted and loving husband and dependable friend.
