Betty Jean Flint

Betty Jean Flint, 91, passed away January 30, 2016, at home. Betty was born September 13, 1924, in St. Joseph, MO, to Florence and Ralph Carpenter. She was predeceased by her parents; a step-mother, Mabel; 3 brothers, Aubry, Wayne and Glenn; her sister, Mae; a granddaughter, Ann; her husband, Clarence Flint; first husband, Lyman Akin; and 2 step-daughters. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Nancy (Larry) Mason of Grand Junction, CO, Linda (Mickey) Barnhart of Cheyenne, WY, and Shirley (Richard) Pool of Rye, CO; step-daughter, Wanda Brookshire of Nacogdoches, TX; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Maxine (Warren) Kimber of West Jordan, Utah; half-brother, R.E. Carpenter of OR; many nieces, nephews and lots of good friends. Services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2016, at Brookside Cemetery in Rye, CO.
