

Betty Lenora DeHaven Wait, 86, born March 31, 1927 passed away August 11, 2013 in Pueblo, Colorado. Angels from heaven came down to guide you, you gave us memories & comfort for our fears but most important you gave us Love sadly you will be missed. Preceded in death by, parents, Raymond Franklin and Alice Lenora Schneider DeHaven; her loving husband, William Melvin Wait; baby son, Keith Evan Wait, brothers, Raymond Melvin “Dee” DeHaven, Frank E. DeHaven, half-brother; William baby Carl E. DeHaven; sister Mary Alice Hatton, survived by her brother, Clayton John “Jack” (Patricia “Pat”) Dehaven; their sons, Curtis DeHaven, Kevin DeHaven, passing preceded in death Debbie DeHaven, son, Dennis Gordan (Sherry Ann Levinson) Wait and grandchildren, Aaron Murray Levinson, Jason Arthur Levinson; daughter, Dawn Leslie Wait (James Gilbert) Walker with grandchild Kristine Ann Giltner (Todd A.) Gwartney; grandchild, Karen Marie (Giltner (John B.) Mattive, great-grandchildren, Alexzandra, John Patrick, Sarah, Leandra, and Faith Mattive. granddaughters, Tiffany, Krissy, and Kimberly Walker. She is also survived by numerous brothers in laws, sister in laws, nieces and nephews that brought joy to her life and family. Friends that she has had so many to mention. She is a loving mother, coach, friend and wife. Betty grew up with two moms her Aunt “Dot” Dorthy and Alice “mom” she had so much love and caring to give to all around her with smiles, laughter, and her get up and go. She lived in Galesburg, IL for a few years. Loved working in her garden, sewing, painting, cooking, camping, site seeing and of course a rock and bell collecting. Cards and dominoes, checkers she had a keen knack for. Loved walks, hiking, and watching beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Betty enjoyed being a wife, mom and all that came with that of being a homemaker that was a tremendous challenge and journey that was taken to the limit with no complaints. Love you always and forever until we meet again in the Lords Arms.
