Bonnie Jean Boudreaux
May 27, 1958 – May 22, 2020
Bonnie Jean Boudreaux passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020, in Pueblo, Colorado, at the age of 61. She was born on Tuesday, May 27, 1958 in Covington, Louisiana to Bessie Quinn Boudreaux and the late C. L. Boudreaux. She was a resident of Pueblo, Colorado.
She was a 1976 graduate of Ponchatoula High School, after which she attended the University of Louisiana-Monroe, where she completed her pharmacy degree. She was a compounding pharmacist for over 30 years in Colorado, where she took care of too many people and pets to count. Even though she moved to Colorado, she never lost her love for her cajun roots. She was an avid sports fan and the biggest "WHO DAT" there ever was.
Bonnie is survived by her mother, Bessie Quinn Boudreaux; siblings, Mike Rogers (Betty Claire), Peggy Wells (V.E.), and Gloria Kolwe (Chet); her lifelong friend who moved to Colorado with her over 30 years ago, her constant companion and partner-in-crime, who took care of her without hesitation, Scarlet Simon; her beloved cat, Sambeaux; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who she loved very much; as well as many Colorado friends who became her "Colorado Family".
She was preceded in death by her father, C. L. Boudreaux; and her grandparents, Charles and Grace Quinn, and Clay, Sr. and Blanche Boudreaux.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, 100 W. Magnolia St, Ponchatoula, LA 70454, beginning at 9:00 AM. A memorial service will be planned in Pueblo, Colorado at a later date.
